Connect StaffHub to Outlook calendar of team members for availability

It would be great to have a preview of each team members Outlook calendar while planing and to have planed shift in the members Outlook calendar as write back, due to the fact, that Outlook is everyones main calendar.

Hi,

We have added support in Microsoft Flow that will allow you to add your new shifts to your Office 365, Outlook.com or Google calendars. You can find templates for these flows here: flow.microsoft.com/search/?q=staffhub

Please note that these flows currently only work for team managers, but we’ll soon update them to work for team members as well

I don't see how the Outlook calendar would provide better visibility for the Frontline workers using the StaffHub/Shifts feature. Using the mobile apps allows them to see the whole team and their schedules.

Will Shifts have this feature. I am not even sure what I would with 20 other people's work schedules in my Outlook calendar but my part-time student techs absolutely need their outlook calendars updated as their shifts are updated.

@A Harris StaffHub is being retired by October. Shifts is the replacement for it apparently.

Team members really need to be able to see the staffhub shifts calendar in outlook to keep track of everyone. Managers are not the only ones. Team members work with one another on a daily basis. This is a necessity. I see Working on it dated 10/11/2017. It's 2/20/19. It doesn't exist yet?

@Anonymous that fan-freaking-tastic!! As it should have been from the beginning. Great link. Thanks!

@speedbird186 - do you have a link to something suggesting that is the case? Someone at work told me that too, but can't find anything...

This thread has been pretty active lately... everyone realizes that StaffHub will be discontinued in about 12 months, right?

It would be nice to have a real sync. Now if anything in staffhub is changed/moved/deleted, it isn't updated

  • Mark commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Is it possible sync the entire staff hub rota into the office 365 calendar? it only seems to work with the one persons shifts who is signed in

  • Rick commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Integration/synchronization with Outlook Calendar (O365 Business) is something I would have expected to see with StaffHub. The Flow connector only works with Shift requests, but not Time Off. That seems odd and rather short sighted. Hope this gets updated soon. Unless I'm missing something, the only way our users can keep StaffHub and their Outlook calendars in "sync" is by working in both apps (duplicated effort).

Is Microsoft still working on the flow between Staffhub en Outlook calendar for members??? We

  • Anonymous commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Ultimately Staffhub should be seamlessly linked to Outlook and Teams for two way interaction. Being able to see the team members schedule and setting open shifts all linked into the Teams app for completeness. Whilst maintaining the 'in field' component as well.

Great to have this! Would it be a possible way to have a flow to publish all (new) shift information to a SharePoint Calendar list which then can be connected to an outlook calendar by the each member of the team? If yes, how could we manage changes in existing shifts (they are then not new but changed) or deletion of shifts?

  • CC commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

The solution using Flow seems to be creating a new outlook calendar event automatically. However, users (managers/staff) may approve/disapprove/cancel leave. Since the flow is not Syn, I suppose the Flow cannot update outlook calendar for disapprove/cancel cases. Please correct me if I was wrong.

Appreciate if a solution can be provided for using Staffhub to manage staff leave with a proper integration with calendar.

What is your deadline for making it work for team members?

I will only start using StaffHub when this function works.
